The John Muir Trail is a MUST-DO for all outdoor lovers and backpackers! To be able to experience the best of the Sierra Nevada Range in all of it's beauty and majesty is truly awe inspiring. This 220 mile trip is usually done in 3 weeks (With about 50,000ft total elevation gain/loss, you'll also cliimb Everest in the mean time). Trust me, once you have experienced it, you will want to go back! The best way to hike the John Muir Trail is from North to South with a resupply at the Muir Trail Ranch (muirtrailranch.com).
