Explore one of the Lower 48's last remaining wild corners on this 11.6-mile loop from the High Chisos Mountains to the South Rim escarpment. TO TRAILHEAD: TX 385 S to park entrance; continue 26 mi. on TX 385 S past Persimmon Visitor Centr. R @ Panther Junction; L @ Chisos Mtns. Basin Junction. Drive 6 mi. to Chisos Visitor Center. Park in amphitheater for overnights.
