This is an eight-mile loop whose first three miles (going clockwise) are mostly flat doubletrack and singletrack. A descent follows a short climb, then rolling hills. Part of the trail is a country road no longer accessible to cars; the rest winds through forest and meadows, along ridges and streams. At the bottom of the gravel downhill, be sure to watch for the turn in the trail.
Take bug repellent, and check yourself for ticks after riding here. This multi-use trail is used by mountain bicyclists, hikers, and hunters, so it’s a good idea to check with the Missouri Department of Conservation at (636) 441-4554 for information on hunting in the area before you head for the trailhead.
TO TRAILHEAD: From MO 94 and I-64/US 40, drive south 6 miles to the parking lot on right.
