The Kalalau Trail is one of the best hikes due to the extraordidary views of the NaPali Coast. What a difference to have creeks flowing across and down the trail in hundreds of places.
The 3rd trip for Marlene and I since 1989, this was the most slippery we have hiked it. Previous hikes were in October and November of 89 and 95. This year the trail was so muddy that we slid our way to the beach and forded the creek so swollen that we should have taken our shoes off. That mattered just a little since we were already very muddy.
