One of the most popular trails in the Seattle area, the Burke-Gilman Trail is 15 miles of classic Seattle riding.
As a 30 mile out-and-back route, this is a great route to do in small groups or solo.
Whlie there are public restrooms along the way at a few parks, there are not many places to get water, so be sure to ride prepared!

Starting at Gasworks Park in Seattle, head east towards the University District. The trail crosses a few streets here, and it can be crowded with students walking & riding - be careful on this trail!
The route takes you through the University Village area and north passing through or near: Sand Point, Matthews Beach, Lake Forest Park, Kenmore, and Bothell.
There are numerous places along the way to stop and take in the scenery, and you can continue where the trail turns into the Samammish River Trail, for another 10 miles of riding to Marymoor Park in Redmond.
