TO TRAILHEAD: I-65 S to I-265 S to I-64 W. In 58.5 mi., turn L onto IN 162 S. In 12 mi., L onto 300 E; enter Lincoln State Park. In .5 mi., turn R; in .2 mi., turn R and follow Howell Shelter signs. Continue to turnabout & parking area.
