TO TRAILHEAD: Start: From Thessalia, VA, head southwest on Sugar Run Rd. In 2.2 miles, turn left to stay on Sugar Run Rd. Go 6.8 miles to trail crossing.

End: From Bluff City, VA, take Thomas Dr. northeast .2 mile to US 460. Turn left and cross the river; look for AT crossing under US 460.
