TO TRAILHEAD: Start: From the Swift Run Gap Ranger Station on US 33 in Shenandoah National Park, take Skyline Dr. south 16.4 miles to Doyles River Overlook, on left.

End: From Boonesville, VA, head NW on Boonesville Rd for 1.1 miles and bear right on Mission Home Rd. In 2.7 miles turn left on Simmons Gap Rd. In 3.5 miles, turn left on Skyline Dr., and go 2.1 miles to trail crossing.
