Logan's Pass to Waterton Lake, Glacier National Park/Waterton Lakes, Canada

Many grand vistas of the Northern region of GNP en route to Canada. A one-way trip ending with a boat ride to WLP.
NOTE: If ending in CA, make sure you have a ride planned for your return as they do not care to have an non-attended vehicle in their park! And don't forget your Passport!

Park at the Logan's Pass Visitor Center  early in the morning and head N on the Highline Trail.  You will go over a saddle with Haystack Butte to your left, then the Garden Wall to your right.  This section of trail gives stunning vistas to the rest of the western regions of the park.  If you are making it a multi-day trip (as I recommend), Granite Park is a great place to spend your first night as there are many beautiful things to see and make short hikes to.
On Day 2, get a pre-dawn start headed North on the Highline trail as you will have just over an 11mile day ahead of you.  Trail pretty much stays unto itself, with the exception of a short NW hike to see Helen Lake over the pass and then Sue Lake, just before you hit your next campsite.  You will head downhill that evening to your campsite at the junction of the Waterton Valley and Flattop Mt. trails.
Your final day will be an easy day just over 10 miles down to the Waterton Lake campground.  The trail is easy to follow, though there are many that shoot off from it, they are well marked.  Your day ends at the docks of Waterton Lake.  BE SURE TO CHECK THE SCHEDULE FOR THE LAST BOAT OF THE DAY TO GET ACROSS!!!

TO TRAILHEAD: Logan's Pass Visitor Center on the Going to the Sun Road (check for road status at http://home.nps.gov/applications/glac/roadstatus/roadstatus.cfm
Ends at Waterton Park; Alberta, Canada
